Top 5 south Indian home remidies for your family and you.

Hello everyone! today I'm not giving a tutorial though, I hope this helps you since, it has helped me too and has resulted in good health. 

If you are suffering from:
  1. Dry cough:-  Chew some spices like cardamom, ginger or cloves. Make a mix of ginger, lemon, honey and have few times a day. Chewing garlic would also help reduce dry cough problem.
  2. Chest congestion:-  Heat camphor in coconut oil. Apply this oil on chest and back. You will be relieved of your cold. This remedy is very effective for kids. For kids apply oil on chest, back and under the feet. When camphor is burned in coconut oil, coconut oil turns into aromatic oil. When taking steam inhalation in vaporizer, apply this oil on a cloth and keep it in the mouth of the vaporizer.
  3.  High blood pressure:-  Eat garlic, shallots and onion with every meals. Have orange juice and lemon juice daily. Drink buttermilk without salt. Include more moringa leaves in your diet. At least 3 days a week, eat either spinach (palak), moringa leaves or fenugreek leaves (methi). Adding more fenugreek to your dishes would also reduce your blood pressure.
  4. Diabetes:-  Make fenugreek part of your diet. It is better to eat fenugreek raw. Put some fenugreek seeds into mouth and drink water. Easy way to eat bitter fenugreek seeds. Before you go to bed, take one ladies finger and cut it to pieces. Put it in fresh water. Early morning in empty stomach eat this ladies finger and drink the water in which it was soaked. Do this daily. You will find improvement in your diabetes. Take banana stem juice once in a while. Take the juice of banana stem and drink it at least 2 times a week. You would find considerable decrease in your diabetic problem. 
  5. Back-pain:-   Apply diluted ginger extract on body and massage. Ginger massage is found to be good for back pain. In North India people use mustard oil for massaging back. Garlic juice massage is also good for back pain. Gastric trouble may be causing your back pain. If so, eating cumin seeds, garlic and drinking hot water would help.  Apply mustard oil and massage well. Put garlic and ginger in mustard oil and massage with this oil. This is good for back pain. Urinary infection can cause back pain. Drinking barley water daily (7-8 glasses per day) would cure the back pain caused by urinary tract infection. Fenugreek water (boiling water with fenugreek seeds in it) is also very effective for urinary infection and lower back pain. Drinking normal water several times a day would also help you get rid of back pain and urinary infection. Urinary infection can also cause hip pain and pressure in the lower stomach (lower abdomen).

Spicy Kori korma/ chicken korma

So, lets begin. today I'm going to show you how to make south Indian chicken korma, but sorry people I'll not be able to put a video tutorial today but I hope this helps you!

Kori korma or chicken korma


The ingredients:
  • Garam masala powder 3tbsp(table spoon)
  • Salt 2 ½ tbsp.
  • Chicken 150 g or 5 to 6 pieces including breast.
  • Coriander powder 3 tbsp.
  •  Chilli powder 1tbsp.
  • Turmeric powder ½ tbsp.
  • Curry leaves (as much as you will).
  • Vegetable oil 6tbsp.
  • Fennel seed/ saunf  (again as much as you will).
  • Chopped onions (2 whole onions).
  • Chopped green chilli (2 or 3 whole chillies).
  • Chopped tomatoes (2 whole tomatoes depending on the size).
  • Coconut paste 3tbsp.
  • Ginger-Garlic paste 2tbsp.
  • Poppy seed paste (don’t use more than 1tbsp).
  • ½ or 1 cup of water.



      
             
Method:
  
1. Pour the vegetable oil first.

2. Add fennel seed.

3. Then add the chopped onions.

4. Add the chopped chilies too.

5. Curry leaves as well.

6. Sauté the mixture until it turns golden brown.

7. After our mixture turns golden brown, add the ginger-garlic paste mentioned above in the ingredients.

8. Sauté it again for 1 or 2 minutes.

9. Add the turmeric powder; add the chilli powder, and the coriander powder.

10. Sauté the mixture again for binding the flavours and then add the chicken.

11. Now add tomato to the kurma and sauté it again then add the coconut paste.

12. Now add the poppy seed paste remember not more than 1 tbsp.

13. Now add water to it if you feel that the water is too less, add ½ a cup of water more.

14. Put a lid upon your utensil (depends on which ever utensil you’re using) and keep it closed up to 10 to 15 minutes since, the chicken needs to get cooked.
  
15. Now, stir the curry until it gets thicker. Once it gets thick it’s ready to get served.
